Role : Cloud Engineer Duration- 6-12 months Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Hybrid work NO OPT/CPT Description: The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for having a strong background in cloud computing technologies and a passion for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud solutions. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support our organization's growing needs. In this role you will: Support the Banks People First focus and rules of engagementmaintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB A Better Place to Be. Cloud Infrastructure Management Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure primarily in Azure, with flexibility to work across other cloud platforms like VMware and AWS. Monitor and optimize virtual machine performance and manage scaling to meet business needs. High Availability & Disaster Recovery Implement and manage site replication technologies to ensure business continuity. Design and maintain comprehensive backup strategies and regularly test recovery processes to guarantee high availability. Security & Compliance Ensure cloud environments adhere to security best practices, including data encryption, secure access policies, and compliance with industry standards. Regularly review and update security configurations to protect against emerging threats. Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manage and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, including identity and access management, multi-factor authentication, and enterprise application integration. Monitor and analyze logs using Log Analytics to detect and respond to potential security incidents. Operational Excellence Maintain and monitor the overall health of cloud environments, proactively addressing performance bottlenecks and issues. Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the efficient management of cloud resources. Active Directory & Related Services: Manage Active Directory environments, including DNS, group policies, and certificate authorities, ensuring integration with cloud services. Provide guidance on integrating on-premises Active Directory with cloud identity services. Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, continuously improving the architecture and processes. Participate in or lead initiatives to evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies that enhance cloud management and security. Must haves: Strong People First interest and ability. Excellent understanding of modern endpoint provisioning and management tools and techniques Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
