Qualifications: The Business Analyst role involves formulating and defining system scope based on user needs and a comprehensive understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements. Responsibilities range from assisting with system scope and objectives to self-directed activities that lead to long-term improvements in business processes. Provides business unit support, resolving issues that do not require extensive business/system knowledge. Communicates incident status and clarifies issues with business partners. Escalates incidents to senior staff when extensive business process and system knowledge are required. Resolves application incidents and problems, including lower complexity software issues, training, documentation, and data problems that require moderate business analysis. Acts as a liaison between business units and IT service providers to ensure functional specifications are understood and that tech specifications can be developed. Analyzes issues within the enterprise and provides IT-based solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. Understands and documents business and user requirements to ensure system designs meet business needs. Facilitates knowledge transfer to the support organization prior to system go-live, scheduling and communicating the go-live date. Develops and updates documentation and training materials. Ensures IT and SOX compliance are maintained. Documents functional requirements that detail the system, process, or product to fulfill business needs. Responsibilities: Formulate and define system scope and objectives using IT and industry knowledge. Provide support to business units, resolving non-complex issues.
