Job Role: Systems Engineer Job Location: Alexandria, VA & Rockville, MD (Need local ID proof) Duration: 12+ months contract Onsite From Day 1 Visa: H1B | Need passport number along with the submission Must have: System Z - z/Linux, IT IS_AMS_ Database_ MS SQL Server Role Responsibilities: Assist in the definition and execution of tasks towards the delivery of technical solutions Installation, testing and commissioning of hardware sensors and devices Basic configuration of computing platform operating systems (primarily Linux) and software applications Installation and configuration of software applications in test and production systems Troubleshooting of hardware and software components Identify issues and potential associated resolution approaches Support design and architecture efforts towards definition of technology systems Research of hardware and software solutions to address specific business requirements Translate business requirements into technical requirements Support technical overseeing of 3rd party technology vendors Review of design artifacts provided by technology vendors and ability to assess requirements compliance Support testing and QA efforts toward definition and creation of test plans, test procedures and test execution Support data analysis efforts to validate systems functionality Support creation of test results in PowerPoint and/or Excel like files Support in definition, creation and execution of transition plans to address replacements and/or enhancements of hardware and software components Work with Project Managers and Technical Leads to create project plans, schedules and timelines Provide periodic progress reports on assigned tasks Author content for technical documentation Experience in installation, testing and troubleshooting of hardware devices and software components Experience as user of the Linux and Windows Operating Systems Experience with management of technical requirements Experience in designing and definition of architecture systems Experience with management of 3rd party technology providers Experience with use defect tracking tools Excellent verbal and written communications skills Basic understanding of computer network systems Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office tools mainly Excel, Vision and PowerPoint Desired Requirements Experience in installation and configuration of ITS and Tolling systems Experience with SQL to query and analyze data in relational databases Experience with Docker for management and configuration of container based solutions Education: At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project Thanks & Regards Manasa Salla Sr Technical Recruiter iTech US, Inc [email protected] Skype : https://join.skype.com/invite/ySKCsGOLdrDE LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/manasa-salla-0836711a8 -- Keywords: quality analyst information technology microsoft Idaho Maryland Virginia Need local candidate for Systems Engineer at Alexandria, VA & Rockville, MD Onsite From Day 1 [email protected] |
