Overview: We have an urgent need for an Advanced Projects Specialist to support our clients Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE) team. The primary focus of this role will be on conveyor systems implemented in future vehicle process engineering launches. The Advanced Projects Specialist will be instrumental in assessing the feasibility, financial requirements, and project preparations related to conveyor systems. This role also includes supporting areas of conveyor architecture, cost estimation, resource allocation, and engineering strategy development. The Advanced Projects Specialist will collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet the goals of our clients Vehicle Process Engineering, with a focus on Capex reduction, asset reutilization, and project execution. Key Responsibilities: Feasibility Analysis: Assess the feasibility of future project launches, including conveyor systems for BIW, GA, and Paint operations. Financial Planning & Cost Estimation: Prepare financial models, cost estimations, and resource allocation plans for conveyor and automation systems. Project Preparation: Support project preparation efforts including engineering strategies, progress tracking, and dashboard development using Power BI tools. Capex Reduction & Asset Reutilization: Work towards Capex reduction and asset reutilization by adhering to our clients engineering design strategies. Conveyor Standards & Specifications: Maintain and support conveyor standards and specifications, ensuring all systems are aligned with our clients sourcing and facility roadmaps. Project Management: Monitor project timing during the Advanced Phase of projects and coordinate with the PreStudy group on plant studies and proposals. Digital Dashboards: Develop digital dashboards to track the progress of advanced VPE projects and key performance indicators. Support SPW Pillars: Contribute to our clients SPW Pillars initiatives, including Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement, Workplace Organization, and more. Key Areas of Focus: Automation & Robotics in BIW, GA, and Paint Facility Management & FESP Roadmap Conveyor Architecture and Sourcing Cost Deployment & Energy Management Required Experience & Qualifications: Years of Experience: Advanced level experience in conveyor systems and automation projects. Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, robotics, and facilities. Experience in financial planning, project cost estimation, and resource management. Familiarity with Power BI and dashboard development. Project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams and driving project timelines. Experience with Capex reduction and asset reutilization strategies. Ability to support multiple SPW Pillars including customer experience, workplace organization, and people development.
