| Hello, Greetings from Encore Consulting Services, Inc Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: Culpeper, VA Job Type: Long-Term Project Need 12+ Only Job Description We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a long-term project located in Culpeper, VA. This role is integral in managing, securing, and optimizing the organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network security, cloud technologies, and security architecture, with a strong focus on implementing cutting-edge solutions such as Zero Trust and micro-segmentation. This position involves both strategic design and hands-on implementation, ensuring the highest levels of security and performance.Key Responsibilities: Cloud Security: Design, implement, and manage cloud security solutions with a focus on preventing data leakage and unauthorized access. Data Leakage Prevention: Develop strategies and deploy tools to prevent data exfiltration and ensure sensitive data is protected. Micro-Segmentation: Implement network micro-segmentation to isolate sensitive resources and improve network security. Web Application Firewall (WAF): Manage and optimize WAF to protect against web-based threats. Zero Trust Architecture: Design and enforce Zero Trust security frameworks across the organizations network and systems. Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement scalable security architectures that align with the organizations business needs. Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze network performance and security using advanced tools and techniques. Network Security Tools: Utilize industry-standard tools to safeguard network systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and more. Cloud Technology: Design and manage cloud-based networking solutions, ensuring robust security and high availability. Python Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Python for network and security task automation and monitoring. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure security standards are integrated into all projects and provide comprehensive documentation.Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role. Expertise in cloud security, cloud technology, and network security tools. Experience with data leakage prevention, micro-segmentation, and zero trust security models. Hands-on experience with web application firewalls and other security devices. Strong understanding of security architecture design and network monitoring tools. Proficient in Python for automation and coding tasks. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business-friendly terms.Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other relevant cloud and network security certifications.
