Job Description: IBM MQ Engineering Lead to manage the upgrade, configuration, and integration of IBM MQ for wire systems and other related systems. The consultant will lead the engineering efforts, while also providing training and cross-skilling to internal teams. This role is essential for building a robust message queuing infrastructure that supports critical systems, with the potential for future work involving cloud-native environments such as AWS, though this is not a current requirement. Key Responsibilities: Lead the upgrade and configuration of IBM MQ to support critical wire and EDD systems. Build and manage additional MQ queues and related infrastructure. Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams, deepening their skills in IBM MQ management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging systems meet business and technical requirements. (Optional) Engage in early-stage planning for potential migration to cloud-native messaging solutions (e.g., AWS). Qualifications: Extensive experience with IBM MQ infrastructure, configuration, and integration. Proven hands-on expertise in engineering IBM MQ solutions. Strong understanding of messaging systems and queue management. Ability to lead engineering and infrastructure build-outs related to IBM MQ. Strong communication and training skills for cross-skilling internal teams. (Optional) Familiarity with cloud-native services (AWS, Azure) for potential future transitions.
