I will be onsite for day 1 and will work onsite a minimum of 3 days a week Must work onsite in Richmond VA. Only GC ,GC EAD H4EAD (Need Passport) Need software engineers with experience in java (1st skill),scala and spark and AWS. -Need software engineers w/ solid data engineering experience, NOT Data Engineers who use data to do stuff, that's a diff profile.* -Software engineers will be responsible for BUILDING data engineering platforms. They should have experience w/ Spark or Flink, and Java or Python programming languages (Java strongly preferred). -Not looking for engineers who build data pipelines, but rather looking for engineers who Build the PLATFORMS that pipelines live in. They'll be building the data solution itself. -For example, AWS's similar platform is *Kinesis* - Capital One wants to build their own homegrown version/platform, rather than risking external platforms to do this work. -The platform processes 10 trillion records per month, hoping to go up to 100 trillion by EO next year. VERY large scale volume. Provide real time, under a millisecond latency. -Solid engineers who can build things with proper quality Additional Skills & Qualifications The Mid to Senior level Developer will be part of a fast-paced software development team. -Scala w/ Java preferred over Python.
