SSIS Developer (Performance Optimization)

Location: Mclean, VA

Description:
The SSIS Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our legacy SSIS jobs. You will analyze existing code, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement
effective solutions to improve data processing efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough performance assessments of existing SSIS packages, identifying areas for optimization.

Rewrite or enhance SSIS code to improve execution speed and resource utilization.

Analyze data sources and target systems to identify potential performance impacts.

Implement appropriate indexing and partitioning strategies to optimize data access.

Enhance error handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity and reliability.

Create clear and concise documentation for optimized SSIS packages.

Work closely with data analysts, architects, and other team members to understand data requirements and integration needs.

Required skills:

Proven experience as an SSIS Developer with a strong focus on performance optimization.

In-depth knowledge of SSIS architecture, components, and best practices.

Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Experience with SSIS packages for large-scale data integration.

Familiarity with performance tuning techniques for SQL Server databases.

Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
