Job Title: Mainframe DB2 With zOS Location: Richardson, TX 75082 (Hybrid Working Model) Weekly 3 Days to work from office Duration: 6 Months Job Details: Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of database systems. On-Call Support: Participated in on-call rotation for database support and provided timely resolution of database-related issues. Work in administering DB2 databases on zOS and Linux; Production support, maintenance of existing DB2 system infra-structure & databases Work in Migration, configuration of DB2 subsystems. Executing DR exercises Setting up daily copy & backup utilities and monitoring those jobs. Running All Online and Standalone IBM Utilities i.e. Unloading, Loading, Reorg etc. and collecting statistics for the processes Reviewing and updating System Parameters for optimal performance and binding plans for DB2 dependent products. Maintaining RD &FSA DB2 subsystems Analyze data, develop and execute appropriate DDLs to support projects Create DB2 instances, configure and update licenses, Performing System DBA activities Installing and configuring the DB2 products in MVS using SMPE installation procedures like RECIEVE, APPLY and ACCEPT. Install, Configure and Admin CA-IDMS, ASG-Tracer, ASG-FastAccess, Sumtotal-Preference, IBI-FOCUS, Natural and ADABAS for FAA. Involve in providing support to projects; Unload, Load the database, Reorganize and collect statistics for the processes Reorganization of Table space Collecting Statistics using Runstats Remove the restriction of pending status against DB2 objects Running Online and Standalone IBM Utilities Backup and Recovery of DB2 objects Involve in project plan reviews, test reviews and document preparation Involve in performance tuning of DB2 sub system running on AIX Database admin including backup, recovery and installation of DB2 database and configuring instances DBA activities to recreate/set-up the test environment/situation Perform DBA functions like archiving, providing user and Object privileges Execute recovery operation and backup procedures Thanks & Regards:- Azhar Mohammad Softcom Systems Inc.
