Teradata skillset is the most prevalent skillset needed for this position. Wants to see candidates who are 1-3 years experience who can be focused within one cloud data platform, in this case Teradata.

Candidates need to be able to convert without sponsorship

Job Description:

As a Teradata Developer 
(1-3 years experience) you will be focused on day to day initiatives that will further assist with a future GCP Data Migration. Day to day will be supporting the current system 
(Teradata) and assist with new product development throughout the healthcare aspect of CVS while supporting existing applications. You will play a vital role in the structure of the current team while some of the current team members will shift over to the focusing on the GCP Migration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Teradata.

Write/refine/optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing and performance within Teradata.

Assist in data mapping, profiling, and cleansing to maintain data quality.

Provide support and training to team members on Teradata and data management practices.

Preform efficient data management by scaling data storage and making computing tasks separate.

Stay updated on Teradata features to leverage the best tools for data management.

Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to design and implement the migration of data from Teradata to GCP.

Document migration workflows, including data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in Teradata development and data management.

Proficiency in SQL and Teradata utilities (e.g., BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad).

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage) is a plus.

Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and cloud migration methodologies.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
