Job Description Need a Sr EnterpriseArchitect focusing for building data architecture Frameworks, Standards, andData Modeling activities defining Conceptual, Logical, Physical Analytical andCanonical models. Solid Knowledge of AWS Architecture required - (15 yrs.) Must have Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, aswell as the ability to understand abstract concepts. The EnterpriseInformation Strategy is divided into several Tracks of work. The Sr EnterpriseData Architect will focus on: AWS Cloud DataArchitecture. Building DataArchitecture Frameworks, Data pipelineframeworks, Standards, and DataModeling Activities for UI Mod All underlyingsystems, data owners, databases, and applications working together with the SrData Management Lead and the Office of the CIO in defining the Conceptual,Logical, Physical Analytical and canonical models. This work stream will focuson several systems in scope. The DA will analyzethe data needs of the systems and databases and uses skills in coding tomaintain secure databases. They then collect and organize the data obtainedinto structured data models. Additionally, using mathematical and statisticaltheory methodstheypresentfindingstomanagementwhich are then used to improvevarious initiatives within the NJDOL systems. Will meet withbusiness teams and determine the best methodstogather the information required. The Enterprise DataArchitect must: Research and properlyevaluate resources of information determine possible limitations in reliabilityor usability Apply samplingtechniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to bequestioned Compare and analyzeprovided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, andproblems -Define and utilizestatistical methods to solve industry-specific problems and engineer datastructures Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments byanalyzing and interpreting data. KNOWLEDGE ANDEXPERIENCE 15+yearsofexperiencein Business/IT working as a Data Architect, Data Modeler, Data Analyst and/orBusiness Process Support Associate Expertise in DataModeling, Solution Architecture, Master Data Management (MDM),Business ProcessAnalysis/Engineering, Business Requirements Gathering and Systems Analysis inState, Local Government and Public Sector Domains Expertise in one ormore Data Modeling Tools Experienced inworking with different Software Development Methodologies. -Proficient in,NoSQL, Relational, MDM and Canonical Data Modeling. Extensive Knowledgeof Data Management Principles -Extensive Knowledgeof Master Data Management Principles -Knowledge of DataGovernance Concepts Knowledge of DataEngineering Methodologies -Knowledge of DataEngineering DUTIES andRESPONSIBILITIES Conduct CurrentState Assessment of Data Systems Define System ofRecord and Data Dictionary for Data Systems Develop Enterprise Conceptual,Logical and Physical DataModels Creates and buildsConceptual, Logical and Physical Models FacilitatesBusiness Sessions and validates business taxonomy and use cases aligned to datamodels Provide initial designsolution for core data model Aswell as for additional upcoming data sources andrequired models supporting Support ProjectNeeds to design Conceptual Logical and Physical Models to Modernization Efforts Define the NJ DOLarchitecture from Conceptual, Logical to Physical layers. Provide solutionexpertise to cross functional delivery teams Providearchitecturethoughtleadershipandactivelyparticipateinthedesign,implementation, and roll-out efforts. DevelopandmaintainConceptual,logicalandphysicaldatamodelsusingbestpracticesandDOLstandardstoensurehighdataquality,reduceddataredundancy,and good query performance. Reverse and forwardengineer data models in Erwin or other Data Modeling Tools Optimize and updateConceptual, logical and physical data models to support new and existingprojects and ensure business users are working in a clean safe dataenvironment. Assisting thecreation of best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practicesto ensure consistency of data models. Coordinateactivities with the rest of the EDL team including developers andtesters;Assistinpromotingdatabaseobjectsfromlowertohigherenvironments. Lead design reviewsof data models and other relevant metadata to ensure consistency, quality,accuracy and integrity. Recommendopportunities for reuse of data models in new projects. Consult withDatabase Administrators concerning the creation of physical data schema fromthe logical model by making recommendations, designing referential integrity,and ensuring business requirements are satisfied. Consult with ETLdevelopers, report developers, end users concerning how to use the database asdesigned and how to navigate efficiently within the database. Guide SystemAnalysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations andcapabilities, performance requirements and interfaces, and system integrationchallenges and solutions. Mentor DOL teammembers on all aspects of Data Modeling.
