Project Management Experience: Expertise in handling end-to-end implementations or migrations, including projects involving the archiving of accounting system data after migrations to new platforms. Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required.Position Summary: Seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager to lead IT projects for the University of California's Office of the President (UCOP). The candidate will manage projects spanning multiple systems and technologies, including infrastructure, security, cloud technologies, and applications. They will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure successful project delivery.Required Skills & Abilities: Project Management: 8+ years of solid project management experience in UCOP IT projects covering diverse technologies and systems. Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior experience managing IT projects in higher education (universities or colleges). Experience in projects involving the archiving of accounting system data after migrations to new platforms. Expertise in large-scale end-to-end PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle) processes. Leadership: Demonstrated project leadership and reporting capabilities. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead large transformation programs. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences at various organizational levels. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude. Skilled at navigating through ambiguity and delivering projects on time and within budget.Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with managing projects related to infrastructure, security, cloud technologies, and IT applications within the education sector.Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
