Role: EDW Functional QA Manager Location: Remote Description: We need someone who can ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of our data warehouse solutions. The EDW QA Engineer will be responsible for validating ETL processes, data integrity, and reports, while working closely with development, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to maintain high data quality standards and who has a strong background in QA processes, data validation, and test automation in a data warehouse environment. Youll the subject matter expertise on MMIS & CMS and provide technical problem solving and deep solution expertise to the customer and Development teams. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and help to drive the cloud strategy. We need someone who can leverage hands-on customer experience and proof-points to educate and engage the broader community of prospects, customers, partners and coworkers. We need someone who can: Work closely with data engineers, ETL developers, and business analysts to understand requirements, identify potential data quality issues, and suggest improvements. Provide regular QA reports and analysis, identifying risks and areas for improvement in data quality processes. Analyze user needs and test software solutions using agile methodology. Create test models for release testing (plans, data and scripts) including the identification, collection and/or creation of test data. Conduct data validation and reconciliation across different sources and the EDW to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Lead co-ordination and execution of release testing as appropriate Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts Define Release Test Plans and criteria for user acceptance including entry/exit criteria Develop, update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures Assist in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s) Follow standard testing methodology frameworks, testing processes as a standard Co-ordinate testing specific release activities Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts Create test models for release testing (plans, data and scripts) pate in structured walk-through and peer reviews Participate in the coordination and execution of release testing Identify defects and questionable functionality; manage defects through to closure Resolve issues with unclear requirements and achieve a successful result Triage and solve complex problems using structured troubleshooting methodologies Quick learner, work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team environment Basic Qualifications for Consideration: Bachelors Degree or equivalent working experience Minimum 5 years of experience in data warehouse management or operations. Proven QA experience in managing large-scale data warehouse projects Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting a State Medicaid Agency Must have domain experience in one or more of these areas in State Healthcare background. MAR Reporting, SURS, Federal Reporting, Encounter Analytics FADS, T-MSIS & Adhoc Reporting Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data warehouse professionals, including data engineers and system analysts. Experience in creation of detailed test cases to validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and the overall integrity of data and implementing test strategies. Solid experience in ETL testing to ensure data is properly extracted, transformed, and loaded into the EDW as per business requirements. Must have experience on ETL tools such as Informatica or SSIS. Must have experience on reporting tools like Cognos, Tableau. Solid experience in writing SQL statements for data validations. Solid experience in Database, especially Oracle, and Batch Job testing. Solid experience in using Toad and SQL Developer. Experience in conducting performance and scalability testing for data pipelines and warehouse processes to ensure the EDW performs optimally under various loads. Develop and maintain automated tests for data validation and ETL processes using appropriate tools and frameworks. Ability to design, develop, test and debug tests cases/Scripts/plans/strategy documents. Extensive experience in Test Management tools building Test Plans and Test Cases using tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps. Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and team members.
