[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Sr. Network Engineer Location: 100% Onsite (St. Cloud, MN) Duration: 6+ Month Visa: US Citizens or Green Card Holders only Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control processes for the network capabilities and monitor to ensure compliance and consistency with the SOPs. Assist with aligning systems/network infrastructure goals with organizational needs (technical analysis and alignment). Execute at a high level, hands-on technical knowledge of Cisco enterprise networking technologies, including core switching, Nexus and OTV, ASA and FTD firewalls, edge and core routing, managed wireless, VLANs, DMZs, intrusion detection/prevention, and network load balancing. Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning of enterprise-level systems/network infrastructures. Monitor and troubleshoot technologies to meet established service-level agreements and organizational goals. Assist in maintaining and updating SOP documentation files/manuals. Assist with reporting on key performance indicators to upper management. Apply data and security governance practices within the enterprise. Conduct in-depth research into issues and technologies, documenting current/future states during upgrades or system implementations. Perform consistently, effectively, and reliably in accordance with the companys values and competencies. Work responsibilities may extend beyond normal business hours; infrequent travel may be required. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Technical college or Bachelor's degree in networking technology or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years experience with Cisco networking (hardware, software, protocols) with a focus on large-scale enterprise LAN network deployments and operations. Experience supporting enterprise environments with over 300 switches, routers, and wireless access points. Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Cisco networking equipment: o Catalyst 3850 and 9300 switches. o Catalyst 8300 and ISR4000 series routers. o ASA and FTD firewall appliances. o WLC 5520, models 1560, 3700, 3800, and 9100 series access points. Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting related networking systems: o Virtual F5 load balancers. o DHCP, DNS, and WAN carrier technologies. o Basic Windows and Unix server operations as they relate to networking. o Basic voice technologies. o Google and Azure cloud technologies. o SD-WAN architectures and leading technologies. Working knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Nexus vPC and OTV, DMVPN, Multicast, route-maps, QoS, and Cisco Wireless technologies, including access points in FlexGroup configurations. Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network operating systems and tools: o CLI: Catalyst IOS-XE, Nexus NX-OS, WLC AireOS, FTD-FXOS. o GUI: ASDM, FMC, Solarwinds, Wireshark. Demonstrated ability to support complex, enterprise-level LAN/WAN networks. Hands-on experience with 802.11 wireless technology and installation best practices. Familiarity with network management systems, reporting, and capacity planning. Experience in enterprise networking, configuration, and maintenance in a 24x7x365 SLA production environment. CCNA/CCNP preferred but not required. Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel. Collaborate with the security team to reduce risks to data and systems.
