POSITION Sr. SAP EPPM & FICO Functional Specialist LOCATION Hybrid (3 4 days onsite) Atlanta GA DURATION 3+ months INTERVIEW TYPE Video VISA TYPE Any REQUIRED SKILLS Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP EPPM Consultant with a strong background in construction management to join our team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP EPPM solutions tailored to the construction industry, ensuring seamless integration with financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Implement and support SAP EPPM solutions for construction projects, ensuring alignment with financial processes. Design, configure, and deploy SAP EPPM modules, including Project Systems (PS), Portfolio Management (PPM), and Commercial Project Management (CPM) specific to construction projects. Integrate SAP EPPM with SAP S/4HANA FICO modules, focusing on the specific needs of construction accounting, including job costing, project invoicing, and contract management. Provide ongoing support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the SAP EPPM system. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, STEM, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience with SAP EPPM, including hands-on configuration and implementation in a construction environment. Strong experience in construction management, with a deep understanding of cost management, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for construction projects. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with finance modules is highly preferred. Skills: Proficiency in SAP EPPM modules (PS, PPM, CPM), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a consulting environment or with multiple clients in the construction industry. Working Conditions: This position is based in Atlanta, GA, with a requirement for regular office presence. Occasional travel may be required based on project needs. PURPOSE: The EPPM & FICO Functional Specialist will collaborate with key business resources, system implementor and AMS provider in providing functional expertise for the SAP EPPM module to the Construction LoB. The main responsibilities for the role will include but will not be limited to designing EPPM/PS/FICO solutions, configuring systems during project implementations, simplifying and improving business processes, creating new business cases, identifying and documenting requirements, supporting construction processes and integrations for Construction business. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Works closely with the construction business units across all divisions, using SAP S/4 HANA to best configure and support their business CRH processes. Evaluates construction business processes and identifies opportunities for improvements and savings. Prepares cost-benefit analyses to support all improvements and opportunities. Leads EPPM related project activities and coordinates with other team members to deliver on business requirements. Provides leadership, direction, and issue resolutions to end-user community regarding EPPM business processes, PS and FI data, enhancements, and interfaces. Provides solutions, directions, and options for new business requirements. Provides guidance, understanding, and recommendations to the business user-community in the SAP EPPM/PS/FICO area. Follows IT standards, documentation, development methodologies as related to support and development activities. Executes project activities related to EPPM/PS/FICO function ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Proactively anticipates project deviations and escalates the need for immediate corrective action. Acts as the gatekeeper of the SAP template for the Construction functional area and ensures that project teams are adhering to the standards established. Maintains documentation library for design, configuration and training material related to EPPM processes. Assists with performing integration, unit and user acceptance testing, including preparation of test cases and writing test scripts. Supports security design and maintenance as required, including oversight of approvals for finance, ensuring they meet organizational standards. Coordinates with external vendors and Banks regarding system integrations and upgrades Investigates, analyzes and escalated support issues from Construction business team. Supports cross functional priorities. Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED: 10+ years of SAP EPPM/PS/FICO experience including functional expertise and integration with other modules and systems especially in the Construction industry. In-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience on configuring and supporting SAP EPPM, FI, CO, PS, AP, AR and interfaces with biding software(B2W) other non-SAP systems. In-depth understanding of the integration between EPPM, FI, MM, SD, PM, and PP is essential. Strong business process knowledge in revenue recognition processes: RAR. Strong business process knowledge in EPPM and PS. Knowledge of Vertex or other Tax solutions that integrate with SAP. Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications. 3-5 full lifecycle implementation projects as EPPM/PS/FICO functional/configuration team member. Be able to independently solve complex functional issues. Experienced with utilizing OSS and submitting support messages to SAP. Experience with SAP Data Migration and Interfaces Experience working with Cross-Functional Teams (SD/MM/PM/PP/LIS/BW) to develop functional and technical designs. Experience in managing customer expectations and building relationships. Demonstrated ability to operate and adapt in an ever-changing environment to changing requirements and priorities. Ability to identify solution gaps and disconnects in existing solutions; ability to work with the on- and off-shore development teams to explain the proposed design and share best practices. Strong ability to focus on priorities. Experience working in a support team environment with a combination of project work (change request) and support (tickets) Good analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience: 10+ years of experience as SAP EPPM/PS/FI Functional Consultant preferable in the construction or mining industry. Education: Bachelor's/University Degree or equivalent experience Preferred field of study: Business Administration or Information Technology Other Training/Certifications Required: SAP Certification in EPPM, FICO, PS modules is highly desired.
