Bachelors degree in social work, Education, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered. Advanced Degree (Masters) in a relevant field is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information. Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or similar certification is highly preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is a strong plus. Demonstrated success in collaborating with and influencing all levels of management and staff. Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to engage diverse audiences. Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies, including experience managing large-scale training initiatives. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt training approaches based on data and feedback. Proficiency in training platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and related technologies to support remote and in-person training sessions. Ability to work across multiple locations throughout South Dakota with flexibility and adaptability to manage simultaneous projects in dynamic environments.. The South Dakota Department of Social Services, Child Protection Services (CPS), partnered with Action 4 Child Protection to revise policies, curricula, and tools within the Comprehensive Safety Intervention (CSI) Practice Model. To ensure successful implementation, CPS mandates comprehensive training on the updated materials for all management and current staff. New hires will also undergo certification training as part of the onboarding process. Delivering consistent, high-quality training is essential to maintaining fidelity to the agencys core practice model, ensuring improved outcomes for the children and families CPS serves. The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking a skilled individual to lead the initial and ongoing certification training for supervisors and field staff on the newly developed Initial Family Assessment (IFA) and Protective Capacity Assessment (PCA) curricula. The training rollout will include a total of 16 in-person sessions, with the PCA sessions being introduced after all staff have completed the IFA training. The training structure is as follows: Initial Family Assessment (IFA): Supervisors: 2 sessions, each lasting 2 days (with additional supervisory-specific content) Current Field Staff: 3 sessions, each lasting 3 days New Hires: 3 sessions, each lasting 3 days Protective Capacity Assessment (PCA): Supervisors: 2 sessions, each lasting 2 days (with additional supervisory-specific content) Current Field Staff: 3 sessions, each lasting 3 days New Hires: 3 sessions, each lasting 3 days Proposals to Work Orders will be reviewed for ability to meet the State needs and there is no guarantee of award.
