Key Responsibilities: Design and implement data masking strategies to protect sensitive information. Apply data masking techniques to databases, applications, and reports. Develop and enforce data access control policies and procedures. Configure and manage user access levels, permissions, and roles within databases and applications. Perform regular audits to ensure proper access controls and compliance with security standards. Knowledge of Snowflake and SQL is much needed Write and maintain scripts for data processing, transformation, and integration. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve #2 Role Name: Data Architect with P&C (Property and casualty insurance) Location: San Antonio, TX - Onsite 6-12 months Deep understanding of property and casualty insurance and modern cloud software development technologies while keeping an eye on emerging technologies JOB DESCRIPTION: As a dedicated Data Architect, you will collaborate closely with Business, Architecture and Development leaders to translate business strategy and business architecture into technology vision, technology blueprints, architecture runway items, technical risk mitigation, and detailed designs In this role, you will work closely with business, architecture and development teams to identify and resolve technical risks using Agile spikes and Proof of Concept activities in preparation for Program Increment sessions where the Staff Engineer will transition designs to the development teams to code the solutions The ideal candidate will be an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in architecting, designing, coding and testing Transactional and Analytical data information solutions Strong experience with Snowflake is ideal along with AWS data services, SQL and No-SQL databases. Cloud Proficiency : Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, such as BigQuery, CloudRun, CloudStorage, Pub/Sub, Workflows, IAM, Etc . Understanding of cloud-native solutions and architecture is critical. Data Engineering Transformation Tools: Familiarity with data integration tools Cloud Composer (based on Apache Airflow) , Dataflow , CloudRun. Programming Languages/Infrastructure as Code/ Code Management : Strong knowledge of languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, SQL ,Terraform, CI/CD , Git flows, Attunity , AutoSys Data Modeling and ETL Processes: Ability to design robust data models and develop efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring data quality and consistency. Monitoring and Optimization: Very imp - Skills in monitoring data pipelines and GCP resources using Stackdriver (Google Cloud Operations Suite), and optimizing performance and cost. Problem-Solving/Debugging Skills: Very imp - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues that arise during production. Which includes reviewing log , working with networking , security , IAM , DBAs. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for collaborating with global teams, including clear documentation practices and the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders. Automation: Experience in automating routine data processing tasks using scripts and GCP tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
