The architect will be responsible for building scalable metadata management frameworks, ensuring the effective cataloging and governance of enterprise data assets, and driving data democratization across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data management, experience with Atlans data governance platform, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate metadata solutions with existing data systems.Key Responsibilities: Architect and Design Atlan Solutions: Lead the design and architecture of metadata management solutions using the Atlan platform, ensuring alignment with organizational data governance and compliance requirements. Metadata Management: Define and implement strategies for effective metadata management across various data environments, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid systems. Atlan Expertise: Provide expert guidance in leveraging the full capabilities of Atlan, including metadata cataloging, lineage tracking, data discovery, and collaboration features. Data Governance: Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to ensure metadata governance frameworks are implemented, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. Integration: Work closely with engineering and business teams to integrate Atlan with other data management tools, such as data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence platforms. Automation and Efficiency: Automate metadata capture and management processes to streamline data discovery and make data easily accessible for end users. Training and Enablement: Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate internal teams on Atlans metadata management functionalities and best practices. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to metadata management architectures, integration processes, and data governance frameworks. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their metadata needs and ensure Atlans solutions align with business objectives.Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of experience in metadata management, data governance, or a related field, with a minimum of 2+ years working specifically with Atlan. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of metadata management concepts, tools, and technologies. Expertise with Atlans data governance platform, including data cataloging, data lineage, and collaboration features. Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and data quality management. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with Atlan. Familiarity with data management architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes. Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to translate complex metadata concepts into understandable terms for business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Certifications: Preferred certifications in metadata management or data governance platforms, particularly Atlan.Preferred: Experience with other data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
