| Title: Storage Administrator- No H1B Location: Plano TX and phenix AZ -Need local Direct Client Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Storage Administrator with strong expertise in managing enterprise-level storage systems and datasets. This role requires hands-on experience with automation tools to streamline storage operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure data integrity. The Storage Administrator will be responsible for provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining storage infrastructure across various environments, including cloud and on-premise, with a focus on automation to optimize processes and reduce manual tasks. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, DAS, and cloud storage (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies using industry-standard tools (e.g., Veeam, CommVault, NetBackup). Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization of storage environments to ensure smooth operation. Design and implement automation workflows for routine storage operations using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting languages. Work with APIs to integrate storage management systems and enable end-to-end automation of storage tasks. Support data set management, ensuring secure, efficient, and organized storage and retrieval of large volumes of data. Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to provide robust storage solutions in hybrid cloud environments. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, applying automation for efficient incident response. Generate reports and dashboards to monitor storage usage, performance, and trends through automation tools. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in storage administration, including enterprise-level data sets. Strong experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). In-depth knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, HCI, and cloud storage). Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent). Familiarity with data protection, encryption, and storage security standards. Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization of storage systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Certification in storage technologies (e.g., NetApp Certified, EMC Specialist). Knowledge of hybrid cloud storage solutions and API integration. Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and their associated storage needs.
