| Hello, Greetings from Encore Consulting Services, Inc Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Location : Springfield, IL (Initial 4 weeks 100% onsite, then 2 days remote and 3 days onsite) Contract Duration: 5 years We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team, working closely with senior developers under the direction of Software Solutions management. The ideal candidate will contribute to the planning, development, support, and maintenance of various projects as determined by management. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams on time-and-materials projects defined by management. Document work comprehensively in Azure DevOps and other supplementary documentation tools. Participate in multiple project teams over the contract term, maintaining backlogs in Azure DevOps with clear user stories, tasks, and timelines. Actively engage in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Work with internal staff to implement system modifications that enhance performance, data quality, and reporting capabilities. Assist with system enhancements/modifications to meet both internal and external stakeholder needs, ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates. Meet deadlines for State and Federal reporting, FOIA requests, and internal data queries. Contribute to the Agency s ongoing efforts to streamline and simplify data collection and reporting processes. Mandatory Requirements Skills Matrix for Senior Business Analyst - School and District Improvement The candidate must meet the following criteria: 5+ years of experience in a senior business analyst role, demonstrating expertise in translating business requirements into technical requirements for IT-based projects. Certification : Must hold an Agile Scrum Master, PMI-PBA, or equivalent certification. Agile Experience : At least 4 years of experience gathering business requirements and creating user stories using Agile development cycles. Proficient in: Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server. Balsamiq or other screen mockup tools. Microsoft Office 365 . Writing user stories and conducting quality assurance testing. Leading and facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies and meetings, both onsite and remotely. Designing prototypes and mockups. Tracking deliverables and managing timelines effectively in an Agile environment. Preferred Experience 5+ years of experience in a senior business analyst role working on School Improvement Funding, Title I School Improvement grants, and School Funding Business rules at a State Education Agency.
