In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and optimizing our cardiovascular diagnostic product line. You will lead a team and work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and clinical experts, to ensure our products meet stringent regulatory standards and deliver exceptional performance. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded systems for medical devices, ensuring high reliability, safety, and performance. Develop and maintain embedded firmware and software, including low-level device drivers, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols. Perform system analysis and debugging to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in embedded systems. Contribute to the creation and review of technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations, including FDA, ISO, and other industry standards. Conduct code reviews and provide technical support to junior engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure alignment with project goals. Ensure the successful development and delivery of embedded systems, balancing technical requirements, resource constraints, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Hire and manage a team of developers, including both freelancers and FTEs. Qualifications Bachelors or masters degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded systems engineering, with a strong background in medical device development. Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux. Solid understanding of hardware-software integration, including experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git); development tools (e.g., IDEs, debuggers) and CI/CD and automation tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and debug complex systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
