We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Unix, AWS Lambda, AWS EMR, AWS EC2, AWS, SQL, Spark, and Python.

This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can analyze business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure successful project execution.

The position operates during day shifts and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to guide development teams.

Oversee the implementation of AWS services including Lambda, EMR, and EC2 to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Provide expertise in Unix systems to support and troubleshoot technical issues.

Utilize SQL and Spark to manage and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate processes and enhance system functionality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and technical solutions.

Conduct regular reviews of system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

Lead the development of project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all technical implementations.

Provide training and support to team members on new technologies and processes.

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with technical implementations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

Possess a strong technical background in Unix, AWS Lambda, AWS EMR, AWS EC2, AWS, SQL, Spark, and Python.

Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Have experience in managing and analyzing large datasets using SQL and Spark.

Show proficiency in developing and maintaining Python scripts.

Display the ability to oversee the implementation of AWS services to ensure optimal performance.

Demonstrate experience in creating and maintaining project documentation.

Have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Show a commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry trends.

Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Exhibit the ability to provide training and support to team members.

Demonstrate experience in monitoring project progress and providing updates to stakeholders.
