Role: Business Analyst Location: Marysville, OH ( Day 1 onsite) Duration: Contract JD : Business Analyst The Business Analysts role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gather and compiling user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology decisions. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring ITs understanding of business requirements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key accountabilities that must be carried out to fulfil the job purpose. % of time Collaborate with project/ team managers and business sponsors to determine scope, vision, business objectives, and benefits. 10 Conduct interviews to gather user requirements, use cases, and scenarios. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, and comprehensibility. Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements. Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on the user requirements. Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted. 20 Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. 30 Create systems specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers. Where applicable, perform analysis of existing applications and access impact of the change to the current system processes. 30 Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems. 10 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS Minimum acceptable qualifications, experience, and skills for this job. Minimum Educational Qualifications College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, information systems, engineering or similar. Minimum Experience 5 - 7 years of relevant technical or business work experience Other Job-Specific Skills Requirements elicitation Drive consensus for a desired future state that meets the business problem and enterprise objectives. Identify opportunities for creating reusable enterprise services and can guide and manage interactions with technology vendors. Designing for usability Identify the requirements to ensure end-to-end service performance from the end users perspective. Gain business sponsor commitment for additional resources requirement to ensure usability. Communication and change leadership Effectively engage key knowledge workers and business sponsors in change management activities. Business relationship management Influence business partner decision making to optimize requirements prioritization. Build long-term relationships between multiple business partners to drive IT strategy engagement. Design team relationship management Educate developers on a projects business context and effectively collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
