The Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining Project framework, schedules, budgets, and workflows in support of manufacturing process integration projects.  This role will include leading and participating in broad scope requests and understanding/navigating complex manufacturing integration requirements.
  This role requires working with little supervision to define, document, present and provide accurate project status to the Program Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The key accountabilities that must be carried out to fulfil the job purpose.

Proactively manage schedules to achieve related project deliverables

Facilitates and coordinates meetings to resolve/escalate project concerns and track project milestones

Establish business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Coordinates the projects daily activities amongst the team and function groups

Manages schedule changes, delays, and/or recovery efforts within the team and function groups

Supports new model initiatives collaborating with the team to clarify how decisions may impact project schedules and budget and implement solutions to minimize potential risks

Maintains accurate project documentation as required by company guidelines

Maintains professional conduct and follows all company safety policies and procedures

Ability to multi-task multiple projects/objectives/deadlines in a highly ambiguous environment

Review, incorporate requirement documentations developed by the BA team into the project plan

Project Communication ensures all stakeholders are aware of progress through project meetings, status reports and milestone reviews.

Staff Management monitors the performance of all resources assigned to a project.  Takes appropriate action to motivate and manage.

Product Quality ensures appropriate design, code and test standards are flowed.

Manages turnover of project to postproduction as a project requirement

Follows all J-Flow documentation / reporting requirements.

Ability to present to varying audiences, conduct in-depth technical analysis, lead and prioritize multiple projects, work in a team environment as well independently.

Monitor results & develop gap elimination plans to achieve Department goals.

Maintains Project portfolio utilizing Honda PM toolset (Clarity)

Ability to multi-task multiple projects/objectives/deadlines in a highly ambiguous environment

Vendor Management. Monitors and schedules installation contractors within the manufacturing project schedule.

Provides input and guidance into the overall project initiatives.

Resource trackability (materials ordering, receipt, resource analysis)

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

The minimum acceptable qualifications, experience, and skills for this job.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Engineering or IS-related bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

5+ years experience delivering solutions having large scale technology architecture and complex integrations

Strong customer mindset

3+ years leading or participating in architecture teams developing IT roadmaps, analyzing, and selecting technology solutions

5-8 years of supervisory experience, able to guide/mentor/grow technical resources

3-5 years managing professionals that lead teams, groups, and vendors

5-8 years technical management experience

1-3 years product and/or project management experience desirable

2-3 years procuring and managing outsourced and offsite partners

PMP Certification

Minimum Experience

Excellent project management and process improvement skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills

Excellent negotiation, diplomatic and conflict resolution skills

In-depth knowledge and experience to lead Agile team using JIRA in Sprint planning, Sprint review, retrospective reflection/improvement.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Power Point, Excel, Word)

Experience with PM tool such as Clarity.

Internal Contacts

IT Management
: Provide management with updates/status, receive direction, problem escalation, and obtain approvals and/or feedback for problem resolution tracking/issues related to plant activities.

Other Staff:
Assist with upholding established policies and standards.  Assist with executing established processes/procedures.  Meet with designated department/project leaders concerning project innovations and changing to ensure IT understands requirements and installations meet compliance standards.

External Contacts

External Suppliers:
Develop and maintain a clear relationship with company vendors, conduct walk-through evaluations, submit, review, and select vendors as needed for pending projects, tasks, or innovations.  Maintain an understanding of changing technology landscapes, applicability for adoption within company.
