Title: Mid-Senior Data Engineer (AWS) Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite) Local only Duration: 06+ Months No OPT & CPT Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams video. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that support various data-driven initiatives. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure our data systems are robust, scalable, and efficient. Key Responsibilities: Must have experience with AWS cloud platforms and their data services. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and optimize data models, ensuring they meet the needs of analytics and reporting. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance. Monitor data systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new data technologies and tools. Document data architecture, processes, and workflows for transparency and compliance. Provide support for data-related inquiries and contribute to cross-functional projects. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases). Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica) and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services. Understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing concepts. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
