Position: Cockroach DBA Duration: 12 months + extensions Client: Confidential Visa: USC, GC & H4-EAD LinkedIn required Location: Onsite every other week (5x per week, 2 weeks per month) in one of the following locations: Dallas, TX Boston, MA Smithfield, RI Merrimack, NH Jersey City, NJ Chicago, IL Covington, KY / Cincinnati, OH Salt Lake City, UT Required Skills & Experience - 7 + years of experience as a DBA - 3 + years of experience with Cockroach DB (experience building out, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, high availability monitoring, etc.) - Experience in installation, configuration, monitoring & troubleshooting large scale distributed databases - Debugging skills & ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying & applying fixes for known errors, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues - Scripting/automation tooling (bash/python/Ansible/Terraform) experience - Experienced in CI/CD, DevOps using tools like Udeploy, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, ECS, Docker - Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus & integration with ServiceNow - Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP - Knowledge in REST APIs, ability to read documentation & make calls to read or write data using API - MongoDB / NoSQL database skills preferred Description As a Database Administrator/Engineer, you will bring your technology expertise, design and administration skills to create unique state-of-the-art database systems. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for technology tempered by a level-headed approach to problem solving and broad experience in diverse technologies.
