Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer with expertise in SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) and Web Performance Monitor (WPM) to lead the implementation and optimization of these monitoring solutions across a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure monitoring and management, with a focus on server and application performance. Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design and Planning: Lead the architectural design for implementing SolarWinds SAM and WPM across 100 servers and 6 applications. Develop a tailored monitoring strategy covering all servers, applications, and associated processes. Implementation Oversight: Oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of SolarWinds SAM and WPM. Ensure successful deployment of Orion Agents and configure monitoring templates for each application. Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical leadership during the implementation phase. Address and resolve technical challenges, ensuring best practices are followed. Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts for SolarWinds WPM to simulate user interactions with web applications and automate monitoring tasks. Testing and Validation: Lead testing and validation of the SolarWinds implementation, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation of the implemented monitoring architecture and provide training sessions to the IT team. Competencies: Experience: 7+ years in IT infrastructure monitoring and management, with proven experience in implementing SolarWinds SAM and WPM in large-scale environments. Essential Skills: Expertise in SolarWinds SAM and WPM, including deployment, configuration, and customization. Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript) for automating tasks. Strong understanding of server and application performance metrics. Desirable Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) is a plus. Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure and monitoring tools.
