| Role: IT Project Manager Location: local Austin TX only Experience : 10+ Must : State of TX TxDOT has issued a request for an IT Project Manager with network infrastructure PM experience to support traffic-related projects for their IID (Ignition Interlock Device) Traffic Technologies projects. Candidates being considered for this role should have at least 8 years of experience managing Network Infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Guide TxDOT and contractors to completion of many traffic related projects. Minimum Candidate Characteristics: 8 years of PM experience managing Network Infrastructure projects Exceptional Candidate Characteristics: DOT experience (Texas preferred) Experience with any State of Texas agencies PMP certification Expected Duration: 12 months / 2080 hours Location: This is a hybrid role (2-days onsite). Candidates must be local to the Austin area. Deadline: Thursday 10/3 by 5:00 PM. Responsibilities: Business Justification The traffic technology team is needing a project manager that has project management experience along with network experience to guide TDOT and contractors to completion of many traffic related projects. A few projects that they will be working on, End of Life Equipment replacement, TMC Resiliency, SDWAN and the Flood Warning system expansion. TxDOT works to be accomplished: Oversees various IID Traffic Technologies projects. Examples of projects would be but not limited to: End of Life Equipment replacement, SDWAN expansion, Traffic Management Center Resiliency, Traffic technology various system expansions. Minimum (Required): Years Skills/Experience 8+ Experience in delivering network projects, and products in a highly technical dispersed multi-team environment 8+ Experience to engage multiple technical teams to drive consistent expectations towards Project goals 8+ Knowledge of Network Infrastructure. 8+ Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff. 8+ Skilled in facilitating large group meetings with internal and 8+ Skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop the Technical Specification and other documents need in support of the solution Preferred (Optional): Years Skills/Experience Experience With Intelligent transportation systems Is a plus Experience with one or more of the State of Texas government agencies Experience with multivendor and professional services. PMP certification is a plus.
