| From: Rajeev, Vyzeinc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Sr. Cockroach DBA OR Engineer Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Local Only (Onsite every other week (5x per week, 2 weeks per month) Duration: 6+ Months Visas: No CPT/H1B MOI: Skype Client: Not Disclosed Must have LinkedIn Id Must have good exp. as Cockroach DBA Location: Onsite every other week (5x per week, 2 weeks per month) in one of the following locations: Dallas, TX Boston, MA Smithfield, RI Merrimack, NH Jersey City, NJ Chicago, IL Covington, KY / Cincinnati, OH Salt Lake City, UT Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience as a DBA 2+ years of experience with Cockroach DB (experience building out, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, high availability monitoring, etc.) Experience in installation, configuration, monitoring & troubleshooting large scale distributed databases Debugging skills & ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying & applying fixes for known errors, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues Scripting/automation tooling (bash/python/Ansible/Terraform) experience Experienced in CI/CD, DevOps using tools like Udeploy, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, ECS, Docker Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus & integration with ServiceNow Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge in REST APIs, ability to read documentation & make calls to read or write data using API - MongoDB / NoSQL database skills preferred Description As a Database Administrator/Engineer, you will bring your technology expertise, design and administration skills to create unique state-of-the-art database systems. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for technology tempered by a level-headed approach to problem solving and broad experience in diverse technologies. You will bring a hunger for problem solving and desire to understand and play with newer technologies and business ideas. Day to day, you will be resposible for the design, configuration and monitoring very large-scale database system including Relational databases, NoSQL and in memory databases. You will also be working in tandem with database administrators and data engineers across the organization. Compensation: $75-90/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.
