Upgrade multiple Spring framework-based Java applications to the latest version of Spring. Address pending enhancement requests from end users. Upgrade multiple Struts framework-based Java applications to the latest version of Struts. Ensure ADA compliance for applications. Perform unit testing, quality assurance testing, and UAT remediation. Work onsite at 150 Williams, downtown NYC, at least 3 days per week. Note: The vendor will provide a Java Developer with a minimum of five years of Java development experience with Spring and Struts frameworks. ACS will interview and approve the candidate for this position. ACS reserves the right to replace the developer if they do not meet the qualifications or fail to demonstrate proficiency while onsite.Vendor Qualifications: The Java Developer must have the following skills and experience: 5+ years of experience in Java application development using Spring and Struts frameworks, including data analysis, application design, programming, testing, and implementation. Expertise in UI development and web technologies including Angular, Microservices, APIs, JavaScript, JSP, SQL, Spring Hibernate, JPA, and web services. Proficiency with development tools such as JDeveloper, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code. Minimum of 5 years experience in the design, development, and implementation of IT applications utilizing Java and relational databases. Minimum of 3 years backend experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures/functions. Minimum of 3 years experience working with WebLogic 14C or Apache Tomcat. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) is a plus. Proficiency with DevOps, including setting up CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of integrating BI Publisher reports with Spring-based applications is preferred. Strong experience in creating design and technical documents. Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and enthusiastic. Comfortable with contributing estimates to the planning process and adhering to defined project plans. Capable of meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure.
