| Job Title: Sr Azure Data Engineer Location: Austin, TX Onsitre/Hybrid role Contract Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to create robust data pipelines and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data solutions using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. Ensure data quality and integrity through thorough testing and validation processes. Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and comply with regulations. Stay current with Azure developments and best practices in data engineering. Document processes, architectures, and data flows to maintain clear communication within the team and organization. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role, with a focus on Azure technologies. Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse. Strong experience with SQL and data modeling concepts. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or R. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures. Understanding of data governance and security best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
