Build and maintain data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and AWS Glue. Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce costs on AWS. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide reliable access to data. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues, ensuring data quality and integrity. Implement data governance and security best practices to comply with regulations and organizational policies. Document data architecture, processes, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in data architecture and engineering principles. Proficiency in Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda). Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Certifications in AWS or Databricks.
