Role: AWS Technical Account Manager Location: Remote Duration: Contract The ideal candidate that the client is looking for is an AWS Technical Account Manager wants someone to be able to handle the meetings by themselves. He is looking for this candidate to be really customer focused, understand the business requirements and be able to MAP that to CMS tools. He understands that probably wont happen from day one so federal experience is not a must have. If someone has that on the commercial side, hes okay with that. He wants the candidate to be able to drive the meetings and be able to take excellent notes. He wants someone who is has native English speaker proficiency or very close to it. The skills he can teach, the communication he cannot. He wants someone to understand the project requirements and the things that they worked on. The candidate will be supporting a CMS contract, the scope is to provide Cloud Onboarding, Migration, Engineering, and Training (COMET) including operations, end-user support, and excellent customer experience for the agency's centers, offices, and division Job Description The Cloud Solutions Engineer is a customer facing role supporting onboarding and ongoing operations of application teams within the cloud program. They establish and maintain a cloud community of practice to facilitate information sharing with application teams, support the onboarding process via technical support and guidance and ensure long-term success of all tenants. The lead and co-ordinate ongoing reviews of cloud operations for deployed applications including making recommendations on cost, performance and efficiency improvements. Key Skills and Responsibilities: Excellent written and oral communication, ability to conduct and facilitate technical meetings. (prior experience in customer facing support teams preferred) Prior experience operating in a ticket queue and managing tickets in Jira. Produce and maintain internal customer knowledgebase, e.g architecture documentation, maintenance activities, common issues, etc. Assist application teams in troubleshooting conference calls for cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure. Demonstrate subject matter expertise with all commonly used AWS services including EC2, VPC, EKS/ECS, S3, RDS, Route53, IAM etc. Familiarity with Developer tooling and practices, e.g Git, Container Publishing, Jenkins, Github Actions, etc. Operate cloud computing governance tooling like AWS Control tower or CloudTamer/Kion. Coordinate with AWS Technical Account Management and Professional Services teams to conduct Well Architected Reviews (WARs) with application teams. Support cost estimation of cloud projects utilizing internal tools and AWS provided cost calculator as appropriate. Promote adoption of standardized infrastructure as code patterns and architectural best practices across application teams. Qualifications: 3-7+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer Certification in cloud such as AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Programming / Scripting experience in popular languages like Python/Java Script using the AWS SDKs. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools like CloudFormation, Terraform etc. Operate cloud computing governance tooling like AWS Control tower or CloudTamer/Kion. Expertise in Linux and Windows System Administration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
