Greater consideration will be given to proposers with five or more years of such experience. Experience In o structured cabling standards and cable specifications (ANSI/TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801). o IT network design principles, routing protocols, subnetting, VLANs, and IT security mechanisms to ensure the efficient and secure operation of IT network infrastructure. o various IT networking technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and others A minimum of three years of experience working with: o external general contractors and architects on design and implementation. NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE 2 o external and contracted cabling vendors to ensure job requirements are met to appropriate Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) standards. o Maintaining requirements documentation and reviewing as-builts to ensure documentation matches actual implementation. o Installing and Configuring Wireless Access Points (WAP). o Installing and basic configuration on Access Switches. o Neatly patching connections from patch panels into switches. High organizational skills allowing coordination of multiple projects at the same time, including personal handling of field work and on-site supervision of infrastructure implementation and device installation. Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds of IT equipment comfortably, such as PCs and servers. Must be able to work both on-site and, if needed, remotely.
