The ideal candidate will have expertise in intrusion detection, Palo Alto X-Series firewalls, and F5 solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, as well as responding to security incidents. Roles and Responsibilities Technical Expertise Design and implement intrusion detection systems to prevent and respond to security incidents. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto X-Series firewalls to ensure secure network access and segmentation. Implement and manage F5 solutions, including load balancers, application delivery controllers (ADCs), and security devices. Design and implement secure network architectures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Incident Response Respond to and investigate security incidents, including identifying root causes and implementing remediation plans. Perform threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats. Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations, and identify and manage security risks. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including networking, security, and development, to ensure secure and reliable network operations. Provide training and documentation to stakeholders on security policies, procedures, and best practices. Promote security awareness and education throughout the organisation. Technical Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications. 5+ years of experience in IT security, with expertise in intrusion detection, Palo Alto X-Series firewalls, and F5 solutions. Additional Skills Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection. + Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems. + Knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
