Job Description: ETL / Data Integration Developer (Intermediate/Expert) Lincoln Nebraska -Onsite -Locals Estimated Duration: 10/15/2024 - 10/31/2025 Summary: The ETL / Data Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes from various data sources. This role involves building conceptual models, logical models, and producing high-quality documentation. The ETL Developer will participate in requirements gathering, data definition collection, source-to-target mapping, and the creation of data transformation, quality checking, cleansing, and standardization processes. Testing these processes for accuracy and performance is also a key responsibility. This role requires personal flexibility to operate in a highly collaborative Agile team environment. The ETL Developer may need to perform tasks such as analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and mentoring as required. The focus is on ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of solutions that meet customer needs. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in ETL and data integration. Equivalent education and/or work experience may be considered to meet the minimum qualifications. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in data migration projects utilizing ETL/ELT tools, with strong expertise in database modeling techniques. Proven track record in application database re-engineering, redesign, and data migration from legacy databases across multiple agencies. Proficiency in developing complex SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and ETL frameworks. Strong understanding of data warehousing and cloud computing concepts. Hands-on experience with a variety of tools such as MuleSoft, Qlik, Talend, DataStage, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with database programming, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, SQL performance tuning, data modeling, and ETL job scheduling. Experience in executing data warehousing projects on platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and other cloud-based data platforms. Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge: Advanced SQL writing skills, including query optimization. Identification of data quality issues. Experience in creating ETL jobs using DataStage, Qlik, Talend, or MuleSoft for data migration. Proficiency in ad-hoc analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting production data platforms. Skilled in designing and implementing ETL/ELT jobs, both in scheduled batch and real-time processes. Experience with database stored procedures and querying multiple databases securely. Understanding of bug identification and bottleneck testing in ETL solutions. Ability to ensure high performance and quality in ETL packages. Experience in providing support and issue resolution for ETL packages. Writing and executing unit test scripts. Development and use of APIs for data sharing and consumption. Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based data infrastructure (preferably Azure or AWS).
