Hello, Hope you are doing Well, Title- Data Architect Client: Sonata Location- USA (Remote) Type of Hire- Contract About the Role: We are seeking a talented Data Architect to join our growing team and play a critical role in designing and building the bank's data infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing a robust, secure, and scalable data architecture that supports our data-driven initiatives and regulatory compliance. In this role, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders across the bank, including business analysts, data scientists, and Data engineers, to ensure our data environment meets the evolving needs of the organization. Responsibilities: Partner with business leaders to understand data needs and translate them into a comprehensive data architecture roadmap. Design and implement logical and physical data models for various banking domains (e.g., customer, risk management, transactions). Leverage AWS services like S3, Glue, Batch and data transformation tools like DBT to create a scalable and efficient data lake and data warehouse environment. Leverage services from Amazon Aurora and Snowflake for high-performance data warehousing and analytics. Define data governance standards and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the enterprise. Stay up-to-date on emerging data technologies (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, data fabrics) and evaluate their potential application within the bank's data landscape. Design and implement solutions to integrate data from disparate sources within the bank (core banking systems, external data providers) to create a centralized and unified view of information. Develop data pipelines to automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes leveraging tools like AWS batch, AWS Glue, DBT etc. Work with data engineers to implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the data lifecycle. Implement data security best practices to safeguard sensitive customer and financial information. Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance policies. Partner with the security team to define and implement data access controls and user permissions. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data solutions. Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other IT professionals to ensure successful implementation of data architecture solutions. Your skills and experience 12+ years of experience as a Data Architect or similar role in the BFSI industry. Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures for complex enterprise environments leveraging AWS and snowflake services Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical). Expertise in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus. Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies (e.g., Lakeformation, Snowflake, Amazon Aurora). Knowledge of data integration & Transformation tools (e.g., Informatica, DBT) and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Collibra). Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of data security principles and practices.
