| Role: Oracle DBA Only GC and USC Onsite 3 days 6 month contract to hire Location: 4200 West Flagler Street, Coral Gables, Florida, 33134, United States Top Skills' Details Sr level background (7 years+) in Oracle database administration - proficient in installation, upgrading/migrating, SQL tuning, materialized views, patching, setting up HA clusters and DR environments. Must have experience in medium to large environments on AIX/Linux.....not mainframe Ability/Interest in learning DB2 Must have experience with OEM - Oracle Enterprise Manager - and worked in medium to large environments. Any experience in Postgres SQL and AWS is a big plus along with any exposure to SAP Must demonstrate ability or experience communicating directly with internal customers Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves Sql server aws postgresql Job Description Sr level Oracle DBA needed who will also be supporting/maintaining 100 DB2 databases (test/QA/production) and 25 in DR......running on AIX/Linux (aprox 10% of time). Primary role is applying patches and monitoring with some change management. Will join a team of approx 20 DBAs including offshore (Oracle and SQL Server) responsible for all duties related to Oracle database administration and troubleshooting - mostly monitoring, performance tuning and materialized views along with some possible upgrade and migration work (Postgres and AWS) Environment Oracle 1500+ prod/non-prod and SQL Server (2008r2 thru 2017) 1000+ prod/non-prod Please note this role provides 2nd level support on a rotational basis along with development activities. Required qualifications include: Deep knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise Database Technology environments such as Oracle and PostgreSQL in an on premise and AWS Cloud infrastructure Extensive knowledge installing, upgrading and performing Disaster Recovery efforts with Oracle DB's SQL Tuning and Database Performance Evaluation and Configuration Systems engineering experience, including AIX / Linux performance, memory management, I/O & Performance tuning, security, clusters and troubleshooting.
