| Hello, Greetings from Encore Consulting Services, Inc Job Title: Sr. Hadoop Administrator Location: NYC (Hybrid) - Prefer candidates from NY/NJ/PA/CT Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, or EAD Experience: 12+ Years Job Description: We are looking for a Sr. Hadoop Administrator with extensive experience in managing, configuring, and optimizing Hadoop environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly in Azure, AWS, or GCP, and experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities: End-to-end installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of Hadoop stack, including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark, and other components. Optimize Hadoop clusters to ensure high availability, security, and reliability. Provision and maintain Hadoop clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Monitor and tune Hadoop clusters to optimize resource utilization and performance. Manage upgrades, patching, and version control for the Hadoop environment. Troubleshoot and manage ETL pipelines and Hadoop-related issues. Automate cluster management using tools like Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. Manage both SQL and NoSQL databases as required. Integrate Jenkins and DevOps pipelines with Hadoop clusters for CI/CD. Work on containerization and orchestration where needed (Docker, Kubernetes). Requirements: 12+ years of experience as a Hadoop Administrator. Strong experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark). Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, along with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with automation tools like Salt, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef. Experience in SQL and NoSQL database management. Strong troubleshooting skills in ETL pipelines and cluster management.
