QA Engineer with Healthcare + EDI testing Remote Contract Job Description: 10+ years experience Multiple years of experience in healthcare payer domain. Strong experience in EDI testing is must . The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, manual and automated testing, and ensuring software quality by identifying defects before product releases. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with various testing tools and methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. Key Responsibilities : - Collaborate with the product and development teams to understand product requirements. - Develop, document, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications. - Execute both manual and automated tests (functional, regression, performance, and load). - Identify, record, document, and track defects using tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Perform thorough regression testing when defects are resolved. - Ensure that all test results are well-documented and communicated to relevant teams. - Participate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and review meetings. - Continuously enhance test automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency. - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing. - Provide feedback on software usability and suggest improvements. Qualifications and Skills : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 2-5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role. - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). - Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured. - Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
