Job description

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a product roadmap that
outlines the development and release schedule for data products, including
managing backlog and assisting with planning upcoming pipeline.

Translate business requirements into detailed
data, product specifications, and technical requirements.

Define product requirements and work closely
with your engineering and design counterparts to bring products to life.

Work closely with data engineering,
stakeholders, and platform teams to develop and launch data products.

Prioritize features and enhancements based on
customer feedback, market needs, and business goals.

Collaborate with a team to develop
comprehensive documentation for data products, including user guides, technical
specifications, and FAQs, including ensuring data mapping, lineage,
definitions, and controls are documented in the data management tooling
solution.

Co-develop data product lifecycle, from
ideation and prototyping to testing, deployment, and support.

Understand the integration of data from
various sources into data products.

Ensure products are scalable, reliable,
secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators
(KPIs) to measure product success and impact, including analyzing product
performance data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for
optimization.

Regularly communicate product updates,
strategic vision, and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring alignment
and transparency, including conveying complex technical concepts to
non-technical stakeholders.

Lead and inspire cross-functional teams in the
creation and delivery of data products, fostering collaboration, innovation,
and a commitment to excellence.

Collaborate with engineering managers,
solution architects, and business analysts to design high-impact data
solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including
product owners, business line SMEs, and analysts, to gather technical
requirements and translate them into actionable user stories with clear
acceptance criteria.

Participate in the end-to-end product
development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality
delivery.

Maintain alignment between technical
development and business objectives, effectively communicating with both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 10+ years of Product Owner/Business
Analyst experience in an Agile environment and minimum 5+ year experience with
SQL programming or any other programming language.

Prior success developing and bringing net new
products to market.

Strong understanding of the business
intelligence market and related technologies (e.g. data warehousing,
dimensional data modeling, SQL, data visualization)

Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
and data analytics, including data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL, this is
must.

Effective delegator with proven management of
cross-functional teams without direct supervision

Ability to manage conflicting priorities and
can differentiate between distractions and the roadblocks that can impact goals

Ability to drive consensus among stakeholders,
manage expectations, and build strong relationships

Designed and implemented frameworks,
processes, and metrics for a data office/function within banking services.

Strong understanding of data technologies,
integration, and architecture, including familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS,
Azure), modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and data processing
frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).

Banking and Finance Domain experience,
strongly preferred and demonstrated knowledge in financial services
process/workflow, including data management, card transactions, core banking
deposits and customer processing, loan processing, payments, and fraud
management.

Experience working with business intelligence
or enterprise / corporate performance management applications supporting
business customers, strongly preferred

Proven ability to lead and execute
responsibilities simultaneously

Ability to translate strategic directions and
business objectives into goals

Know how to break down key features into
appropriate user stories

Experience running high-impact initiatives
within the organization

Excellent verbal and written communication.
