PROJECT MANAGER

REMOTE

Long Term Contract

$85/Hour on C2C - MAXX RATE

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with city or state government clients, particularly in New York City (NYC).

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Planning:

        Define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

        Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets.

        Conduct requirement gap analyses to ensure all needs are addressed.

Team Leadership:

        Assemble and lead cross-functional teams.

        Assign tasks and set deadlines, ensuring team members are supported.

        Foster a collaborative environment to motivate team members.

        Oversee the execution of project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines.

        Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on track.

        Communicate regularly with stakeholders about project status, issues, and risks.

        Manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures align with approved financial plans.

        Forecast future budget needs based on project progression.

Risk Management:

        Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.

        Develop strategies to mitigate risks and address issues promptly.

        Maintain comprehensive project documentation for compliance and future reference.

        Prepare regular reports detailing project milestones and deliverables.

        Conduct evaluations after project completion to identify successes and areas for improvement.

        Implement lessons learned into future projects for enhanced performance.

Educational Background:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is preferred.

Professional Experience:

        Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management roles.

        Proven experience working with city or state government clients in NYC is essential.

Skills:

        Strong leadership and team management abilities.

        Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

        Proficiency in project management software and tools.

        Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions quickly.
