| Role:Title : Azure/Office 365, Windows and Unix server Administrator - Highly Closable Role Position:Hybrid Visa:USC,GC,GCEAD Location: Austin Texas Experience : Minimum 12+ Years Must Position will be HYBRID - 3 days/week work from office in Austin TX JD : One systems administrator / analyst is being solicited by TDI to perform work on server infrastructure projects to serve the business needs of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). Emphasis of work performed shall be Azure/Office 365, Windows and Unix server administration. The work will include, but is not limited to, OS and application builds, hardening (security vulnerabilities), configurations, scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting. Work will require familiarity with RedHat Linux, IBM AIX, WebSphere, Windows AD, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Office 365 in the government cloud environment. Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation. The worker should have a strong knowledge of and automating task using PowerShell scripts. The contract staff shall work on a project within a support team, participating in regular meetings, work sessions, and interactions with the business owners, technical staff, and vendors. They should be a self-starter with experience working in a virtual collaborative setting with multiple teams and tasks. The worker should possess strong written and oral presentation skills, with abilities to help present work done and prepare training when needed. This work may also include other support projects as determined by time available and remaining in contract. All project work will include change management workflows, business processes, and other requirements in support of TDIs server and infrastructure efforts. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Working on Windows system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation. Microsoft PowerShell scripting experience. Troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to implementation or maintenance of system software and operating systems. Testing systems and/or applications to ensure user and functional requirements are met. SharePoint Online administration, configuration, and support experience. Using Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tool to communicate and work within a team. Working on Microsoft 365 / Azure administration with Hybrid joined domain model. Working on Microsoft Power Platform to include Power Automate, PowerApps and PowerBI. Working on Unix system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation. Remediation of security vulnerabilities on Windows servers. Writing technical and user documentation for system applications. Automate daily system admin process using scripting. Microsoft SharePoint site planning, design, and implementation Experience using 3rd party SharePoint management and reporting tools. Experience with creating system usage and reporting dashboards. Working as a systems analyst or security administrator in direct support of a State agency in the Texas State Data Center environment.
