Title: Sr. IT Specialty Data Analyst - HEDIS specialty (Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set) Location: Remote Visa: USC/GC Team Size: About 7 analysts who had to be trained in HEDIS to make up for the specialty skillset the previous manager had and they lost when he left. Why Open: contract ends in Jan. with non-preferred. Team: Health Plan Hedis Data Analytics team Team Size: About 7 analysts who had to be trained in HEDIS to make up for the specialty skillset the previous manager had and they lost when he left. Why Open: contract ends in Jan. with non-preferred- not sure if they keep that person on or not - also severely lacking in HEDIS expertise so looking to bulk that up - not certain if they will add HEDIS exp. to her team or another team in the form of Analyst or Developer - as mentioned this is a position that does not have a lot of "certainties" at the moment, but will soon. Position Type: Contract for now, but could transition to C2H - this is still up in the air until they meet Wednesday Oct. 9 to discuss next steps on structure for her team and org. of development for Hedis. Important Skills Technical SQL; ideally visual studio experience harder if they dont have it because everything is built in Visual studio and SSIS); SSIS. Interview Process: (TBD likely 2 minimum video interviews) Background Check + Drug Test (if applicable): Hours / Shift (if applicable): EST hours 40-hour weeks 8a-5p Notes: travel, dress code, prior employee backgrounds to mirror, MM/DD of birth and last 4 of SSN Needed, etc. Must Haves: 3-5 years HEDIS specific exp. at least (if been involved in HEDIS in any capacity, its better than nothing. Ideally, this person will have more of a focused specialty within HEDIS to include: Data Mapping; ability to analyze incoming data sets and make it useful for HEDIS needs; Experience building packages so it is most efficient as it pertains to HEDIS.) DMAS experience; or any experience spec to VA or VA Medicaid requirements; quality rating system. General Claims analysis Health care experience Coding systems CPT/ICD (general coding standard) Plus: Developer skills this is another position they may hire for down the line and if a candidate meets all analytical aspects of this role and the developer piece they may be considered for higher bill rate please run by me if you encounter someone. Day to Day: - Analyzing all existing data pipelines; in the midst of going through every data source they have and making sure the Company is handling correct; coming up with data mapping documents and data flow diagrams to make sure things arent getting missed or mismatched. Get assigned a data feed and go down data feed rabbit hole and getting to HEDIS vendor correctly. - Process analysis. Eventually everything will get rewritten, from there exploring additional data sources, pulling in, and process correctly, data mapping and diagrams and work with developer to build out packages. Whether that developer will be on this team or another team. - Dynamics are changing more and more so in the midst of rebuilding ETL processes.
