Local preferred Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in the Finance domain to design, implement, and optimize data models and solutions across Data Lakes and Data Warehouses for analytical purposes. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with business teams, driving discussions, and architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines. This role involves extensive use of AWS and Snowflake to manage both structured and unstructured data, with a focus on enabling advanced analytics and business insights.Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling: Architect and implement data models in both Data Lakes and Data Warehouses for analytics use cases within the finance domain. Business Collaboration: Engage with business teams and business analysts to understand business needs, negotiate solutions, and deliver data architecture aligned with business goals. Data Architecture: Design comprehensive data storage, transformation, security, and performance optimization strategies using AWS and Snowflake. Data Pipeline Design: Architect solutions for data pipelines from various sources, including batch, streaming, APIs, message queues, and real-time data ingestion. Data Formats: Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, ensuring seamless integration into data platforms. Data Security & Quality: Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize data performance across different platforms, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Stakeholder Communication: Create clear and impactful presentations for stakeholders, tailored to their technical understanding, to communicate complex data solutions and business insights.Required Skills: Finance Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of finance domain data, including regulatory requirements, financial analytics, and risk management. Data Modeling: Proficiency in designing and modeling data for both data lakes and data warehouses for analytics. AWS and Snowflake: Extensive hands-on experience in AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, RDS) and Snowflake, with strong knowledge of data security, storage optimization, and governance. Data Pipeline Architecture: Expertise in architecting pipelines for batch, real-time, streaming data, APIs, and message queues. Data Types: Experience working with structured, semi-structured (JSON, Parquet, Avro), and unstructured data. Data Transformation: Strong ability to design and implement data transformation processes for efficient analytics. Collaboration and Negotiation: Ability to understand business requirements, negotiate technical solutions with business teams, and deliver value. Performance Optimization: Deep knowledge of techniques to optimize data storage and query performance. Presentation Skills: Proven ability to create clear, concise, and impactful presentations that translate complex data architectures into business-friendly language.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on the finance domain. Experience working with ETL tools, Data Governance, and Security Standards. Strong knowledge of data privacy and regulatory frameworks within the finance sector.
