Senior Onsite Test Engineer Onsite: Pittsburgh, PA Description A. Requirement Analysis and Coordination: Gather and analyze requirements with the Product Owner, QA Lead, and Programming Lead. Communicate software testing requirements to the offshore team. Coordinate testing deliverables between the offshore team and the Smith & Nephew Product Owner, QA Lead, and Programming Lead. B. Managing End-to-End Product Verification and Validation for Medical Devices/Systems using Manual and Automation Techniques: Provide task estimation based on various techniques and historical data. Offer technical guidance to the team on testing requirements and deliver optimal testing solutions. Create test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, test cases (protocol/procedure), and test data as per software testing requirements. Develop and test clinical scenarios based on medical domain knowledge. Maintain traceability matrix for test cases with requirements. Review test cases (protocols/procedures) created by the offshore team. C. Testing of Medical Devices/Systems: Prepare the system for testing (Smith & Nephew devices), including software installation and complete system calibration for all models. Execute system and software tests on the Cori Arthroplasty Surgical System in compliance with Smith & Nephews software development procedures. Conduct various levels of testing, such as functional, integration, regression, and formal testing. Generate test documentation and reports. Perform performance and reliability testing of Smith & Nephew devices. Carry out formal verification of protocols/procedures for Smith & Nephew devices using both automation and manual techniques. Verify Smith & Nephew devices for FDA regulatory standards. Conduct expert-level testing based on medical domain knowledge and current industry trends. D. Issues/Defects Tracking and Test Reporting: Raise and track software defects using Jira. Perform impact analysis and testing of defect fixes and new implementations. Generate test summary reports for management review. Create periodic status reports on sprint and release testing efforts, including metrics and defect triage. E. Onshore-Offshore Coordination: Coordinate with offshore teams regularly to identify and address challenges. Resolve bottlenecks and provide timely responses to ensure smooth team progress. Coordinate with the offshore team on hardware-dependent issues, tasks requiring Smith & Nephew approvals, and collaborate with Smith & Nephew leads and managers on requirements analysis and field defects. Communicate technical information to the offshore team.
