ITOM Solution Architect Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ITOM Solution Architect with over 10 years of experience in ServiceNow Architecture to lead the design and implementation of IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions. This role involves creating ITOM architectures that align with business needs and ITSM processes, providing integration strategies, and offering technical guidance on automation and system workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event management, service mapping, and CMDB best practices, with a focus on scalability and optimization as the business grows. Key Responsibilities: Design event management architecture and ITOM solutions tailored to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives. Ensure alignment with ITSM processes and CMDB best practices to facilitate effective management of IT operations and assets. Define and implement integration strategies for various monitoring tools, event sources, and external systems with ServiceNow to enable seamless data flow and automation. Provide technical guidance on automation, service mapping, and system workflows to improve operational efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to optimize ITOM solutions for improved business outcomes. Oversee the architectural design for scaling ITOM solutions to accommodate growth in the business and the expansion of event sources. Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to industry standards and best practices in ServiceNow ITOM implementations. Lead the development and implementation of service maps, event correlation rules, and other operational workflows. Guide the automation of event management processes, ensuring the proactive resolution of incidents and issues. Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and stakeholders on the effective use and scaling of ServiceNow ITOM solutions. Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow ITOM developments and provide recommendations on improving the systems capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience working as a ServiceNow Architect, with a strong focus on IT Operations Management (ITOM). Proven experience in designing and implementing event management architecture within ServiceNow. Extensive experience with CMDB and ITSM processes, ensuring integration with ITOM best practices. Deep understanding of ServiceNow ITOM modules such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration. Hands-on experience with integrating monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk) and event sources with ServiceNow. Strong knowledge of automation tools, workflows, and service mapping. Experience providing architectural oversight for scaling ITOM solutions across growing businesses. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to achieve project objectives. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Certified System Administrator (CSA) Certified Application Developer (CAD) is preferred. Certified Implementation Specialist in ITOM (CIS ITOM) Certifications in other ServiceNow Modules like CIS-Event Management, or CIS-Service Mapping are preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration with ITOM tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud infrastructure management in ServiceNow. Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management.
