Conduct in-depth performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient database operations, utilizing advanced monitoring tools and techniques. Develop and implement robust backup and recovery procedures, as well as disaster recovery plans, to safeguard database integrity. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design for application performance, including advising on best practices and potential enhancements. Provide critical 24x7 support for database environments, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime. Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of experience as a DBA, with extensive expertise in managing Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server environments. Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues. Strong practical experience in database security, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting. Proficient in SQL scripting and familiar with scripting for automation of DBA tasks, using database monitoring tools. Ability to work onsite every day in New York, NY.
