Title: Mainframe Architect Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite) Terms: Contract Job Details: Design and architect mainframe solutions that meet business requirements and enhance system performance. Analyze and optimize existing mainframe applications and processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with application development teams to provide guidance on best practices and architectural standards. Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, design, and system configurations. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations. Lead migration projects from legacy systems to modern architectures, including cloud integration where applicable. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff and team members. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to mainframe systems. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in mainframe architecture, design, and implementation. Proficiency in mainframe technologies (e.g., z/OS, CICS, DB2, VSAM). Strong understanding of programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler. Experience with mainframe modernization strategies and tools. Knowledge of data management and integration techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
