Role: Mid-Level Java Developer Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9888 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 10/07/24 5:00 PM Description This position will be in support of the NYS Tax Modernization Program. This program will encompass multiple projects to modernize legacy systems within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, which is responsible for billions in state revenue. This position is targeted for the Real Property Systems Modernization project. Duties Provide programming duties for tax related applications. Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements including detail specifications documents. Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle. Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment. Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from the development environment into user test environment. Use distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery. Provide support, as needed, for defects and issue resolution. Ensure that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority. Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers. Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with DTF management and users, ITS management, and team members. Mandatory Requirements Experience (7+ Years) Software DeveloperIs involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
